Allspice is a berry which is ground and used as a spice. It is sometimes in the ubiquitous Pumpkin Spice blends, but it is a staple in Middle Eastern and Caribbean cooking. The essential oil has that lovely, warm spiciness and can be inhaled for nausea and indigestion.
This potent essential oil can be added to a massage oil or lotion to help with arthritis, muscle cramps, and neuralgia.
Always dilute your essential oils in an unscented carrier oil like Sesame or Jojoba. Ten drops per ounce of carrier oil is a good general rule. Do not take essential oils internally. Always store essential oils out of heat and sunlight. Keep essential oils away from children.
