Coolth Schpritz

Back in the dread summer of 1995, hundreds of people died of heat in Chicago. We were sweating through the summer at the Bristol Renaissance Faire and trying not to pass out. Many of the performers were passing out from heat each day and I wanted to help somehow.  I devised this recipe with Peppermint and other essential oils to take the body temperature down on hot days and it seemed to help my fellow fair participants.  Since then, it has become a popular mainstay in our product line up.  The Schpritz version is an easier way to apply it than the oil for many people.  We hear that it also works well for hot flashes.
